Betty Felsen papers

Photographs, programs, clippings and other material documenting the dance career of Betty Felsen (1905-2000), Felsen danced in the corps de ballet of the Pavley-Oukrainsky Ballet in Chicago starting at age 15; after ballet she had a vaudeville career with dancing partner Jack Broderick. Subsequently, Felsen started dance schools in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Cleveland, Ohio.

Bill Lende collection of tall tale postcards

Bill Mauldin collection

Mauldin was a G.I. cartoonist and later worked for the St. Louis Dispatch and for the Chicago Sun Times, and is known for his cartoon of Lincoln weeping after Kennedy's assassination. Includes copies of Mauldin's works, including pamphlets printed in Europe during World War II, two original editorial cartoons, and three original drawings of the Kennedy inauguration.

Bill Mullen papers

Papers of Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Tribune reporter Bill Mullen, who in the 1970s worked undercover for the Chicago Board of Elections, and covered the end of the Vietnam War, OPEC, the SALT treaties, and famine in Africa; and in the 1980s investigated political refugees. As a world traveler, he wrote extensively about his excursions, particularly to Antarctica. He later became well-known around Chicago for his coverage of the city's cultural institutions.
